How to Be Saved
If you died today, do you know for sure you would go to Heaven? The Bible gives a clear answer — and it takes only a few minutes to read.
Six Verses That Answer the Question
Read them slowly. They are not our words but God's, and they say everything that matters most.
Every One of Us Has Sinned
The Bible does not divide people into "good" and "bad" — it says plainly that every person has sinned against a holy God, regardless of how they compare to their neighbor.
Romans 3:23"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Sin Carries a Debt We Cannot Pay
Sin is not a small thing to God. It earns a real wage — death and eternal separation from Him. But where sin has a wage, God offers a gift instead.
Romans 6:23"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Christ Already Paid It
God did not wait for us to clean ourselves up first. While we were still sinners, Christ took our place on the cross and paid the debt in full.
Romans 5:8"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
It Is a Gift, Not a Reward
No amount of church attendance, good deeds, or personal effort can earn what only God's grace can give. Salvation is received by faith alone.
Ephesians 2:8–9"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
Calling on Him Is All It Takes
Believing in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead, and calling on Him as Lord and Saviour, is the moment a person passes from death into life.
Romans 10:9–13"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
You Can Know for Sure
Salvation is not a hope or a guess — God wants every believer to have settled assurance of eternal life, resting on His Word rather than feelings.
1 John 5:13"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life."
Ready to Call on Him?
"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again from the dead. Right now, I turn from my sin and call on You to save me. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Amen."
Praying these words is not a magic formula — it is simply one way of expressing the faith described above. If you meant it from your heart, God has heard you.
